Rev 9.

In the 5th and 6th trumpet judgments, we see the people of the earth tormented by demons and killed in judgment. Yet the people would rather long for death, than repent of their idolatry and sins. We need to heed the warning of a merciful God.

Rev. 8 

The silence of Heaven shows the stillness of the situation as the seventh seal is opened and the trumpets introduced. The first 4 trumpets deal with the creation. In reverent awe, we need to understand the warnings of God as they are given, and repent, trusting in the plans of God. 

Rev. 7

Today our focus is on those sealed by God, that he is to be praised for salvation, and that he is our shelter. So many days our praise can be divided and selfish, we need to focus on Him.

Rev. 6:9-17

The scenes of heaven and earth are astonishing for John as the 5th and 6th seal are opened. And when faced with the judgment of the one seated on the throne and the lamb, the question of who can stand is asked of everyone. When faced with the justice of God, only those sheltered in Christ are able to stand.

Rev. 6:1-8

Today we begin the look at the seal judgments and cover some companion passages to Revelation to give an overview of the coming judgment of God. (the recording starts in the middle of reading scripture.)

Rev. 5 Today we look at the importance and meaning of the scroll and the worthiness of Christ who is the Lion and Judah and the Lamb of God. He is worthy of praise!

Rev. 4

John is taken up to heaven and views the throne room of God. He stands before the King and Creator of the universe and takes in his holiness. How often are we meditating on the holiness of God to impact our understanding of the gospel message.

Rev 3:14-22

Discussing the lukewarm church can be challenging as we look at ourselves. The heart issue of pride can be deceiving and distracting to the church, especially to a self-sufficient body. The zeal for the Lord needs to be rooted in our faith trust and dependence on Him as we repent and root out the issue of pride. 

Rev. 3:7-13

The church at Philadelphia is a model church with an open door for evangelism as they do not deny the name of Christ and hold fast to his word. They are given 6 promises. The promises of God are something that we hold onto as believers to encourage us to be strong in the faith. 

Rev. 2:18-29 Not dealing with the temptations of personality, authority, theology and morality led to corruption for this church as they followed Jezebel rather than Christ. We all need to be aware of the heart issues that can plague us.
