Today we look a little deeper into who the Holy Spirit is and what he does. Defining the person of the Spirit will help us to understand more through the series of the Spirit -filled life.

As Jesus ascends to the Father he gives important instructions about being his witnesses to the ends of the earth and everywhere in between after they are filled with his spirit. It was an event filled with joy and hope. As his disciples, we are also called to be his witnesses to the nations as we are expecting his return.

The Resurrection is a mystery that was confirmed to the disciples, and they are to then go be his witnesses to all nations of the unbelievable joy that comes from salvation.

The disciples who encounter Jesus on the road are subject to an exposition that sets their hearts on fire, yet the disciples show the importance of our faith being more than just words. So many times we live a life of superficial faith when we are called to the supernatural.

Luke's account of the resurrection shows how the disciples scarcely believed at first. How they did not treat his teachings with expectancy. We need to be on guard from falling into the same patterns in our own life.

Today we look at the people that Jesus is able to minister to, even as he is being crucified. His death is such a significant event for believers. Praise God for his atoning sacrifice.

There are many unfair moments in life. Jesus went through various trials and was found to be innocent, yet the mob pushed for him to be crucified. Seeing how Jesus stood firmly on the truth of God while going through this gives courage. He did not waver as he used discernment in front of the various peoples as he understood God's will. This gives us direction.
