There are many unfair moments in life. Jesus went through various trials and was found to be innocent, yet the mob pushed for him to be crucified. Seeing how Jesus stood firmly on the truth of God while going through this gives courage. He did not waver as he used discernment in front of the various peoples as he understood God's will. This gives us direction.

As the people are marveling at the magnificence of the temple, Jesus warns them about how none of it would last. He warns them of the coming destruction and the future wars before his return. The disciples needed to understand that they were to persevere and recognize the impermanence of everything other than the word of God.

Facing correction and criticism is hard to deal with for most people, but as Christian brothers and sisters we need to be able to speak the truth in love in order to draw each other closer to the Lord.
