In Jesus' time there were many ideas and thoughts of who he was, as well as misunderstandings for the expectations of the Messiah. Among so many voices and opinions the people needed to disseminate the truth of his identity. We need to do the same today in order to fully understand our impact as followers of Christ in a world struggling with identity.

In the midst of a nation under duress, we can learn from how Jesus sends his disciples to spread the gospel of the Kingdom of God and to heal people. This nation is in need of the healing power of Christ, and it is the church who has been commissioned to do the work of God. We need to step up and be his disciples.

As we study the passages of Jairus' daughter and the bleeding woman, we compare how they come in faith to Jesus, their healer. This week we want to reflect how we are coming to Jesus in our prayer life, is it in faith, or is it in doubt?

As storms come into our life in the forms of trials and tests, we may experience fear, but they are used as an instrument to see where our faith lies. Jesus' rebuke of the physical storm and casting out of the demonic raging in the man at Gerasene show the authority and power in his life. They shows an abrupt change that is evident, and those impacted are to be his witnesses of what has been done.  

The Parable of the Sower is a frequently told parable. It could be something that we just assume to know and skip over, but when we dive deeper we see the great concern that Jesus has for people to hear the word of God and then to do what is said. He that has ears, let him hear!

The views and perceptions concerning women were completely changed with the ministry of Jesus. But some of the stereotypes and views on women persist even today. Understanding how we are to see each other with the eyes of Christ will help us to be encouraging and edifying in our walks. 

Today we discuss how stereotypes impact how we live. It impacts how we view others as well as our relationship with the Lord. Many times our expectations of these stereotypes will influence how we live out the gospel. We need to be more like Pandas!

We continue to see how the authority of Jesus impacts the people around him. The authority in his Word is over life and death and it transforms those who experience it. We also look how Jesus marvels at the faith of the Centurion. Would he marvel at your faith?

We celebrate the empty tomb and the fulfillment of God's plan of Salvation. As we celebrate this, we also look to the commands given to us by Jesus to make disciples as we are going, being witnesses with our lives to bring hi glory!

Continuing to understand the source and product analogies that Jesus is teaching to his hearers, allows us to be introspective in our own lives about why we call Jesus our Master and whether or not our fruit backs up our claim.
