Jesus had authoritative teaching concerning the Sabbath and he challenged the Pharisaic rituals to focus more on mercy and compassion. WE continue our look at the meaning of rest as it concerns the Sabbath from a NT perspective.

We begin the new year with a new series on rest. It is an important topic about something that is not capitalized on in our fast-paced culture. We will explore how to understand biblical rest in the coming weeks by looking at various passages. Today we set up the problem and some good instruction from Psalm 23.

Celebrating Christmas today by looking at Luke 2 and what the coming of our Savior, Christ the Lord meant for a world living in under an earthly emperor. As we compare that to the peace brought by God, we can merely fall down in awe and wonder at the power of our God.

For the 4th Sunday of Advent we look at the parallels between God and us, and David and Mephibosheth. We see the kindness that is expressed throughout to focus on the how God has shown kindness to us through his Son Jesus.

Today we look at a famous trilogy from Paul and the early church to understand how he is commending the Thessalonians in their evangelism and being the hands and feet of Christ.
