Finishing up the look at Putting others over ourselves, we study the meaning of weak and strong and how as believers we need to encourage one another into the hope of Christ, patiently enduring as we trust in the word of God. 

Today we look at Paul's continued push to think of others over yourself, but this time in the area of humility based on Philippians 2. 

Paul consistently teaches the church to look to the needs of others, over their own. Each time there is a little different emphasis on the area that they focus on. Today in 1 Cor. 10 we look at the liberties that we have in Christ, and how to not abuse them to make others stumble. 

Today we look at the early church in the letter to the Hebrews to discuss the confidence that they had to enter boldly into the throne room of God through the blood of Christ. Understanding confidence correctly will allow us to be healthy in our approach to drawing near to God, holding fast to the confession we have, and stirring each other up in love and good works.

Starting a new series on the early church and discovering what it is they were about, and how they were encouraged to live by Paul and the other authors of the New Testament

We close up our series on the gifts by finishing 1 Cor. 14. We look at the type of worship that Paul had in mind for Corinth. 

Today we look at Paul's charge to use intelligible speech in a church service in order to build up a body. This was a key point for him to make to the Corinthian church

Today we look at Paul's argument of how love is the more excellent way to live because it is eternal, compared to the temporal spiritual gifts. As he corrects the thinking of the Corinthians, we too need to acknowledge what we prop up in place of love in our life. 

Today we look a little closer at the body motif that Paul uses to describe the church and the desired oneness that God has for believers. Oneness is achieved through the Spirit and it is diverse. The Body is made up of many smaller parts functioning as a whole. The church needs to be the same way.
