Looking at Issac's blessing, we continue to see dysfunction within the family. As we study dysfunction we will see the emphasis on communication and perspective and how it applies to sharing the gospel. 

We begin to look at the family of Isaac and Rebekah. We look at their dysfunction to compare it to ours, all the while understanding that God is faithful to keep his covenant

As the covenant is carried down through the generations, God is faithful to keep his promises, and we need to step out from the shadows of those who came before us, and trust in God's promises with our own faith. 

There are many messages telling us what love is, but they differ from what the Bible tells us. Understanding unconditional love is important for the church today.

 

God sent Jesus to be the fulfillment of His promises to His people. Understanding this fulfillment shapes our interpretations and beliefs as we live out our faith in Him.

With all the excitement surrounding the holiday season, it is important to remember the source of excitement and joy. Our culture tells us to seek the next high, or joyous moment. As Christians we need to understand the joy that comes from our salvation. 

As we celebrate Thanksgiving as a nation, it is important to understand the attitude of thanksgiving and where it stems from. Our thankful hearts are to be more than automatic niceties and manners, it is to be a way of life.

God is dependable and consistent. He fulfills His promises and has a specific plan in mind for His people. We look at the fulfillment of the promise of an heir for Abraham and Sarah.

Abram was justified by faith, now he is commanded to walk before God so that he can be blameless. It is not always easy to walk before God as you are going through trials, but He is the only place that we can turn.

The significance of a covenant allows us to trust God's words, in a time when trust is hard to come by.
